Summer Chattanooga Trip

Well I have been in Chatt for school this whole year but being home for the summer is definitely awesome!! Unfortunately, my sweetheart still lives there. I decided that i would give him a break from drivin to Nashville every weekend and go see him for a weekend full of fun!! :-) One of my friends went with me which I really enjoyed, it made the tripnot as boring. lol Friday night when I arrived Reed and I ate supper, went swimming and then settled down with a movie from netflix....we watched Race to Witch Mountain (very good). Saturday morning we had breakfast, went to the flea market, McKays Bookstore, home for lunch, swam, watched several episodes of cake boss (love it), then went out to Sir Gooney's Mini-Golf and lastly we watched The Holy Grail and went to sleep. Sunday we went to church and saw some friends from school and really enjoyed ourselves catching up. After church we swam again with Lauren and Trey and then Lauren and I sadly had to pack up and leave for Nashville before the Bonaroo traffic set in. lol Here is a few pics from our trip...

• So last week in devotional Mrs. Williams was reading a book about animals and creation and she was explaining why Zebras have lots of hair in their ears when a small boy says "my dad has hair in his ears" Mrs. Williams replies "but not very much, just a little" and the boy then says "NO! he has a TON!!" haha
• During water day I was listening in on a conversation between a boy and a girl and I notice they are talking about when they were going to get married and the girl says that they should get married now and the boy decided it was best if he waited til he was 10 instead of 6. I think this is a good choice myself. lol
• There were a group of boys playing like they were delivering goods to walmart when suddenly there was a down pore of rain and one of the boys screamed "SKY 5 IN HD SAYS IT'S A FLOOD!!!" I assume he watched a lot of the Nashville flood coverage!! haha
• I also just really love that I asked this little boy to show me his muscles and this is the show i received...

Summer Job

Well my summer job is just very exciting. I work with Goodpasture pre-schoolers, usually we have 3,4 and 5 year olds. This year they decided it would be grand to have 2 year olds. Terrible idea considering we have 4 of them. This being the case i have 4 children that cant hardly speak, stand in line, feed themselves, potty alone and etc. Today was very eventful, we all went out on the Cougar Trail and then to the playground for the morning before lunch. While on the playground one of the 2 yr olds decides to pee in her pants and then show me the amount by pouring it out of her shoe....lovely. Meanwhile i hear word that another girl has pooped in her pants cause she just couldnt hold it. awesome. The next amazing event was yet another poop accident during lunch from one of the boys. Just wanted to share the greatness of my day at summer camp.

Forrest Goostree

April 12, 2010. Forrest passed away from this world of struggles. He had been fighting cancer for quite sometime, but now all his pain is gone. He is with out a doubt praising our Lord and Savior face to face right now and loving every minute!! We will all miss him very much down here, he was one of the greatest men I knew and we were all blessed to have him in our lives. I can't wait to see him again one day. I can hardly wait to sing hymns and praise our Lord right there beside him!! I love you so much Uncle Forrest!!! See you soon!!!

Easter

This was a pretty great Easter!! I believe the weather was the most perfect its been in several years. I arrived home on Thursday night and visited Susan's new apartment then went home for a nice supper and sleep in my new room. Awwww...the new house. It is so wonderful to finally get to sleep and take showers there. Soon the kitchen will be finished and we can actually live there. Its been almost 5 years and i've never been more anxious. Friday was a good day, lol "Good Firday", anyways....i moved a lot of things to my room and hung a few decorations. Saturday i basically did the same thing but also decorated for our Easter get-together. This was a lovely event on Sunday afternoon. We were all very sad that the Gunthers couldn't make it. :-( I am also sad that i didn't see Reed the entire weekend, but i am lookin forward to painting eggs with him this week sometime!! Now back to school...two weeks left...

Lacrosse

So Reed is playing Mocs lacrosse this spring and he is doing very well!! I have enjoyed watching him play again. I miss the high school days when I got to be the cute girlfriend in the stands...lol last weekend we had to travel to Cookville to play against Tech. We WON!! yay!! The drive there was like we just drove into the middle of nowhere!! It was a good drive tho...we stopped for some nice mountain views along the way. I got to spend the whole game catching up with my friend Matt from church camp!! I enjoyed this very much!! The next day, Sunday, we had to miss church to meet the team at 9:30..we then drove to Kenesaw State University near Atlanta. This game was miserable...it rained the WHOLE time and the wind was CRAZY!! Plus..we lost which was really sad. I am looking forward to the home game this weekend!! Im hoping my parents can make it!! That would be such a treat!!
